Regular Season Round 10: San Salvador - Salvadorenos 59-71
Date: April 30, 2026
The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from San Salvador:Salvadorenos (#5) and San Salvador (#2). San Salvador was defeated at home 59-71 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of San Salvador. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Salvadorenos made 10 blocks. Point guard Diego Rivera (175-2007) fired 23 points for the winners. Gerardo Medrano chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Salvadorenos players scored in double figures. Naturalized Canadian forward Jonathan Rivera (206-2000, college: York) produced 15 points and 8 rebounds and naturalized American point guard Marquise Mosley (170-1997, college: Biola, CA, agency: Crossover Management) added 10 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Salvadorenos (6-3) moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Santa Tecla. San Salvador at the other side keeps the second position with two games lost. They share it with A.Lobos.
